The following is an excerpt from the journal of the esteemed creature scholar, Fran, of the Punk Rampart hunting guild research sect:

ENTRY 01:
Dobo Birds!

Little round fellas who naturally generate spices. Spice powder accumulates in their wings after sitting idly– only to be let out in a colorful puff when they take to the air! They’re a favored animal by village cooks in coastal regions who often keep them as pets. They easily form bonds with people who will protect them from predators who are allured by their scent. Notably, you can discern the spice flavor of a Dobo Bird by the color of their feathers.

The following is the closest approximation to known flavors.

Yellow: Cumin
Red: Ground Cayenne
Blue: Sea Salt
Green: Truthfully, I couldn’t tell you– All I tasted was soap. My colleague suggested it had a tangy element, but I wasn’t just buying it.
