Fishblade Saga

The following are excerpts from the journal of the esteemed creature scholar, Fran, of the Punk Rampart hunting guild research sect:

ENTRY 09: Bladefish

A liberated creature, free of true natural predators– despite the ferocities of the deep oceans. This is attributed to two facts. The bladefish is the fastest known species of aquatic animal native to the ocean as it we know it. It’s hard to be lunch when you move like… well a fish that can literally cut through water! Which brings me to the second fact. Bladefish are no chumps on the martial front. They are surprisingly skilled swordfighters and duel like people. Strange. Though this brought the former fishing village of surfbite a lot of notoriety since they made a spectacle out of dueling the bladefish. Oddly talented folk seemed to originate from that little shanty town. Even the legendary Loto, who went on to become a kaiju ranked hunter at the primary guild sect after his feats against the legendary Ultraladon. I digress.

I promise I’ll go back and color the other pages, but when I was sketching this particular page I just sort of got into the zone and really wanted to color it. Also yes! Chapter one of Fishblade is complete. New characters on the horizon and I can’t wait to draw them!
